Why Choose North Carolina Coast Rentals for Your Vacation?
Ocean Isle Beach is home to a bevy of lovely attractions and activities that visitors of all ages will enjoy when staying in our North Carolina coast rentals.
The beaches in Ocean Isle Beach stretch over the course of eight miles, ensuring that you and your guests will have plenty of opportunities for fun in the sun. Spend your days swimming, fishing, sunbathing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, jet skiing, and more along the Atlantic Ocean. Here, water temperatures average about ten degrees higher than those of the Outer Banks, meaning greater flexibility when it comes to planning your time at the beach outside of the summer season. Beyond the beach, Ocean Isle Beach is home to championship golf courses, fun mini-golf courses and arcades, and events like the free outdoor concert series each summer.
The Ocean Isle Beach region also offers visitors the chance to experience an incredible natural setting, as well as the wildlife that comes with it. The island is famous for its yearly loggerhead turtle hatching periods, during which time the tiny turtles emerge from their shells and make a mad dash for the ocean. The nearby town of Sunset Beach is part of the North Carolina Birding Trail, with five of the one hundred and two sites that comprise the birding locales of the Coastal Plains situated in Sunset Beach.
Shallotte River Swamp Park also gives guests of our North Carolina coast rentals the chance to experience a diverse and beautiful ecosystem while engaging in high-energy fun. Between swamp boat eco-tours, zipline tours, and an aerial adventure park, this attraction is a fantastic choice for planning an exciting day out in nature. Zipline tour admission is $79.00 per person, with options for discounted group rates for up to eight people. Admission for the aerial adventure park ranges from $22.00 for children ages four to six years to $49.00 for adults ages eighteen years and older. And swamp boat eco-tours are priced at $29.00 per person, discounted to $19.99 at the end of the season.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina features interactive exhibits on marine life and habitats, including tank feedings and turtle watching. Hours and days of operation vary depending on the season, but admission is priced at $7.50 for children ages three to twelve years, $8.50 for seniors over the age of sixty-two years, and $9.50 for adults. Admission is free for children under the age of free. A $2.00 discount is also available if you present the museum with your receipt from the Ingram Planetarium from the same week.
Ingram Planetarium shows live star shows and laser light shows set to the music of legendary bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and U2, as well as a hurricane simulator. Like the Museum of Coastal Carolina, Ingram Planetarium's hours and days are also subject to the seasons. Additionally, admission prices are the same for both facilities, and Ingram Planetarium also offers a $2.00 discount for visitors who present their same-week receipt from the Museum of Coastal Carolina.
Nearby, historic sites like Fort Anderson, the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial, and the Fort Fisher Civil War Museum provide fascinating insight into the Ocean Isle Beach area's distinctly important role in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and World War II.
With so much to do here, what reason do you have not to come for a visit?
