Because we live on the ocean, seafood is a prime staple, and Ocean Isle Fish Company, located at 65 Causeway Drive, is one of our favorite seafood restaurants. Specializing in succulent hurricane shrimp, sushi, and the freshest fish around, the casual atmosphere and friendly ambience makes the Ocean Isle Fish Company your new obsession!
The second style of food, of course, is Southern homestyle, and the ONLY place you need to go to sample food that our Southern grandmothers used to prepare every day is in the Gravy Southern Eatery in nearby Calabash. (Don't tell anyone we mentioned this special spot, though; it's supposed to be a local secret!). Located on Highway 179 Business between Calabash and Sunset Beach, you'll know you have arrived when you smell the gravy cooking-oh, and when you see the big log cabin style barn on the side of the road! We have never had a less than stellar meal at Gravy Southern Eatery, but if you need a suggestion on what to try, the Fried Chicken Breast over Rice with Milk Gravy will never let you down.
